Our method
How Tourism IN Provence listings and guides are prepared, checked and corrected.
Accepted sources
Each listing relies on a specific official page: the website of the venue, the town, the tourist office or a relevant institution. DATAtourisme data is used only for approved institutional producers with proven official provenance. OpenAgenda is not used.
Checks
The source page is actually read. Its exact address, the date it was consulted and a fingerprint of its content are kept. A listing is published only when its identity, its address or access point and, for events, its dates are confirmed by that source. Missing information stays unknown: it is never inferred from the name of the place.
Dates and calendars
Market days and event dates come from the official calendar. Dates are evaluated in Paris time. A listing whose last date has passed is removed the following day.
Limits
Opening times, prices and conditions can change without the source being updated. A listing or guide does not state that a place is open right now or that booking is possible. Always check the official source before travelling.
Corrections
You can report an error to support@tourisminprovence.com. The listing is corrected after the official source has been checked.
Free and Pro
The free listing shows factual information, without photos. The Tourism IN Pro offer, at €19. 00 excl. VAT per month per establishment, includes photos, a video, detailed content and booking links, after rights have been checked. For one-off events, Pro is available on a personalised quote, depending on the event, its duration and the service, with no subscription. The Tourism IN team prepares the content from the organiser’s information.
Ranking
In guides, listings are sorted alphabetically. This order cannot be bought: a Pro subscription does not move a listing up.
Translations
Texts are offered in ten languages. Translations are produced with automated assistance and are not reviewed by native translators. A page is published in a language only when all of its information is translated.
