MÉRINDOL - Between scrubland and the Durance

This loop starts at the La Garrigue car park in Mérindol and takes in the Durance landscapes, an old canal and the bird hide. The start follows a purpose-built path, but the full walk is not accessible to pushchairs or wheelchairs. Cliffs, steps and canal banks make it essential to stay on the waymarked route.

Access and precautions
Only the first 500 metres of the La Garrigue trail are advertised as accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs, not the entire loop. Do not climb over the viewpoint guardrails; take care on steps and near canals. Swimming is prohibited. Check wildfire restrictions before setting out and keep quiet at the bird hide.
