From Aiguines town hall, this out-and-back hike climbs to Grand Margès. The 9.9 km route takes around 5 hours 30 minutes and has 808 m of ascent; it is rated difficult. It passes Saint-Pierre chapel before following the GR 99 through the forest and then reaching the summit. Return by the same route.

Access and precautions
Start near the town hall; parking is indicated on rue de l’Arena, opposite the war memorial. The park recommends hiking boots, a hat and 3 litres of water per person. Set off early in hot weather. The route crosses and briefly follows route des gorges. Check access restrictions for the mountain areas before setting off, especially in summer.
