On the first floor of the Maison des Remparts, the Tourrette-Levens Prehistory Museum presents early humans, their tools and their ways of life. Its eight rooms draw particularly on discoveries from the Baume Périgaud and the grotte du Merle. The visit includes a reconstruction of a decorated wall from the grotte Chauvet.
