In the centre of Sisteron, discover the cathedral of Notre-Dame et Saint-Thyrse, also known as Notre-Dame des Pommiers. Built from the 12th century onwards, it combines Romanesque and Lombard influences; several chapels were later added to extend the building. Outside, look at the doorway and bell tower. Inside, highlights include a 17th-century altarpiece carved by Lalozière, with two paintings by Nicolas Mignard. A self-guided visit takes around 30 minutes on average and is subject to ceremonies.
