Marseille History Museum

Around the Port antique site, the musée d’Histoire de Marseille invites you to trace the city's past. Archaeological remains and collections, including ancient boats, shed light on its maritime and urban history. A discovery booklet is available for children aged 8 to 12. Check access arrangements if you need the lift on rue Henri-Barbusse, which is reported to be out of service.

Opening times
Tuesday to Sunday, 9 am to 6 pm, all year round. Closed on Mondays, except Easter Monday and Whit Monday. Ticket office closes 30 minutes before the museum.
Prices
Free admission to the permanent collections. Temporary exhibition prices vary by programme.

A discovery activity booklet is listed for children aged 8 to 12.
Access and precautions
The lift on rue Henri-Barbusse is reported to be out of service in the source consulted. Contact the museum before a visit requiring this access.
